The story:
In 1990, Michael Knight left the Knight Foundation, resulting in its submitting for Chapter 11, and its
eventual shut down. Over the years, the Knight Foundation and its divisions remained inactive until June 1995 when a
professor at Washington State University reads info on the Knight Foundation, et al. He convinces the board of directors
to approve a large grant to the Knight Foundation. As soon as the green light is given, Devon Miles is contacted, who then
recalls all personell from the Knight Foundation. The Knight Foundation is moved from Los Angeles to Seattle, WA.
A few months later, Devon seeks the assistance of high profile Montana DA, Russell Maddock. Maddock agrees
to join the Knight Foundation as Senior VP. His skills and insight are taken in with welcome arms as the new future of
the Knight Foundation. Maddock soon shows the idea of the Knight Industries 4000 to Knight Industries and the Foundation for
Law and Government. Funding is approved and research on a new AI begins.
In 1998, the green light is given to begin construction of a prototype for the Knight Industries 4000. It doesn't
take long for the Knight Foundation to get back on its feet, and Devon convinces WSU to let them go, and the Knight Foundation
becomes a free-lance orgainization once again. In January 2000, the Knight 4000 prototype is nearing completion after years of
tests, and research. A program soon begins which is designed to find a new pilot for the Knight 4000.
All is not well, however, when the Knight Foundation runs itself into the middle of city politics when Seattle declines to
sign them on as a free lance crime prevention organization. They now face the difficult task of getting the Knight 4000 ready
to prove to the city how valuable they are, but more importantly... their car needs a driver...
