June 8, 1984

It was just after six in the evening. The sun was just setting on the horizon. The waves
were crashing against the side of a huge cliff. At the very bottom of the huge cliff lay the
wreckage of a huge gray trailer truck. Pieces of the truck were scattered every where.
Among the wreckage two bodies laid on the ground motionless. One male and one female.
The male was in great pain. He thought he was dead at first, but when he heard the sound
of the waves crashing onto the shore he knew for certain that he was alive. But how long
had he been lying here in the sand? Only God knew the answer to that. He painfully lifted
his head up and opened his eyes. He looked around him and saw the huge truck on the
sand. He could see that the truck was in ruins. That angered him. He slowly got up. Still
in tremendous pain, he looked around and noticed a lady lying helplessly on the sand next
to a huge tire. He noticed her instantly. He finally had the strength to walk over to where
she laid and got down on his knees and held her tight in his arms.

“Adrienne?” he said. “Adrienne, wake up. Can you hear me?” He got no response from
her. She just laid there motionless not making even so much as whisper. He then checked
her pulse by placing his two fingers on her right wrist and realized she was dead. He got
up slowly and looked around at the wreckage of the truck again. He remembered what
happened and was pissed off about it too. He will never forget what happened. Even
though he was in tremendous pain, he was determined to destroy the man who nearly
destroyed him. He could not believe he had survived that fall over the cliff. But he did
survive and he was still alive. After a couple of hours of resting and healing on the sand,
the man finally found enough strength to stand and found some way to reach the top of
the cliff. Still in pain, he found a road that lead back into the nearest town. As he was
walking on the side of the road back to town a red Volkswagen stopped beside him.

“Need a lift?” The driver asked as she rolled down the passenger side window. The driver
was a young blonde woman in her twenties.

“Thanks,” the man said as he got in and closed the door. Then car took off down the road towards town.

2133 Hrs
Location: 5 Hrs outside of Las Vegas

It had been five hours since Shawn McCormick and her partner KITT left Las Vegas.
They were returning home after completing their last mission in Las Vegas. Shawn was
resting comfortably in the drivers seat watching a movie on KITT's middle monitor.

A few hours later they arrived at the rendezvous point. Shawn parked KITT inside the
semi so Kevin Williams, KITT's Technician, could look over him to make sure all his
systems were running properly. Shawn walked over to Maddock, who was on the phone.

“...Thank you. We'll look into it immediately.” He hung up the phone and looked up at
Shawn. “That was General Grey from Camp Pendelton, San Diego. He says someone
broke into the camp at about midnight last night and stole the new secret
tank the Marines have been working on. The person caused massive damage to the
base. The tank disappeared only minutes after it left.”

“That's impossible. How does a tank suddenly disappear after leaving a base?”

“I don't know, but that's what I you to find out.”

“Me?! Russ, I just got back from Vegas. Besides can't the military handle this? I mean it's their tank that got stolen.”

“Shawn, they've already done everything they can.” Maddock looked at her for a moment
before he spoke again. “They need our help. Please.”

“I'm on my way.” Shawn sighed and left the semi without saying anything else.

2300 Hrs
Location: .05 miles north south of Red Bluff

As the stolen tank drove under ground from the base back to the desert base, Garth
Knight began to think about Michael Knight again. To him Michael was a living, breathing
insult. When his father, Wilton Knight, started the Foundation, everything was supposed
to be rightfully his before he was sent to prison in Africa, but his fathers dream was
handed over to Michael Knight instead. That upset him more than anything. Now his last
chance to destroy Michael Knight, Devon Miles and all of the Foundation, was gone, now
a new team has taken over, but he still had a mind for vengeance, and he was certain he
would succeed this time. He spent 16 years developing a plan for the theft. 16 years
where he could develop new programming, and dig this tunnel, to steal the ultimate
weapon. He knew, it would only be a matter of time before Goliath III was ready.
As the tank came near the end of the tunnel after hours of driving underground, Garth
could see a slope in front of him. As he drove the tank up the slope a mechanical door
opened on the top allowing him to drive up to the surface. On the surface, about fifty
African military soldiers stood waiting for Garth's arrival. The tank came to a stop and a
circular door opened at the top of the tank. Garth got out, stepped down off the tank and
looked around. He was very pleased to see all the soldiers in formation. He walked up
to a man standing in front of the formation. A man he knew very well. His name was
Tsombe Kuna. He released Garth from the prison in Africa about 17 years ago.

“Greetings my brother,” Garth said with a smile.

“Greetings, brother,” Tsombe said. He laughed.

“Is everything ready to go?”

“Like you requested.”

“Excellent. I want the crew to start working on putting the Molecular Bonded Shell on Goliath as quickly as possible.”

“I have the technicians standing by waiting for your orders.”

Garth got into the tank, started the engine and drove the tank to the base where his third son would soon be born.

May 5, 2000
San Diego Int’l Airport
1334 Hrs

The huge 747 taxied to a runway that was out of the way of airline traffic. Shawn and KITT sped out of the garage.

It had been only 30 minutes since Shawn and KITT left the airport. They were now on
the interstate headed towards Camp Pendleton, San Diego.

“You seem awfully quiet,” KITT said.

“Yeah, I was just thinking about the stolen tank and it disappearance.” Shawn said.

“Are you worried?”

“No, I'm confused and worried.”

“Very funny.”

“KITT, a tank can't simply disappear. At least to my knowledge it can't.”

“I wish I could help you out there Shawn.”

“That's okay. Don't worry about it. We'll get to the bottom of this.”

“Maddock's calling.”

“Hey, Russ. What's up?” Shawn said as Maddock’s face showed up on KITT's center monitor.

“I've got something you and KITT might find interesting and useful. It's a schematic
drawing of the stolen tank. I'm sending it over to KITT right now.” Suddenly a paper,
that came out of KITT’s fax machine, showed graphical design of a tank. “The tank has
been in development for the past ten years. I'm not going to lecture you on tanks since
everyone in the world knows what a tank is used for, but General Grey told me that this
tank was supposed to be the most dangerous tank in the world.”

“How dangerous?”

“Let's just say that this tank is the only tank in the world equipped with small nuclear missiles.”

“Did you say small nuclear missiles!?”

“Yeah. Good luck.”

“I'll keep you posted. Thanks.”

Maddock disappeared from the monitor.

“According to the information Maddock gave me, the stolen tank is equipped with not
only nuclear missiles but ground to air missiles as well,” KITT said.

“GTA missiles? Anything else?” Shawn asked.

“Just the long nozzle that fires shell rounds and a machine gun mounted on top of the tank.”

“Well, I don't know if that should be good news or bad news, but it sounds like bad news to me.”

“I do hope your wrong, Shawn. I've never done well against some missiles.”

Near Red Bluff
1420 Hrs

At the base where original Goliath, the huge trailer truck had been born, scientists and
engineers were hard at work putting the molecular bonded shell on the new Goliath.
Garth watched carefully watching to make sure everything was going as planned and
everyone was doing their job. He took careful notes along the way to completion. As he
was watching what was happening, he put down his clipboard and walked over to Dr.
Steve Miller who was sitting down at a computer console working hard on the computer.

“When will Goliath be ready?” Garth asked Dr. Miller.

“He should be ready within the next five hours,” Dr. Miller replied.

“Good. Has the MBS been applied to Goliath’s shells and missiles?”

“Yes sir. As you requested.”

“Good. Inform me the second he is finished. I have a personal matter I must attend to with Goliath.”

“Yes sir.”

Garth walked back over to the huge tank and took a long good look at it and smiled. He
was certain now that he had the tank and that it would not fail him. Not even KITT could
stop him with Goliath. He was certain of that. Not even the laser used to destroy Goliath
the first time could destroy him now. He walked once around the huge tank one last time
and then went to his quarters to rest.

Camp Pendelton
1524 Hrs

When Shawn and KITT arrived at Camp Pendelton, they drove up to the main gate. There
was Marine guard standing there with an M-16 strapped to his shoulder. The guard walked up to the car.

Shawn rolled down her window. “Hi. My name is Shawn McCormick. I'm
here to see General Grey, please,” she said.

“Just a minute please.” The guard turned around and walked into the security booth. The
big gates opened and Shawn parked KITT. She walked to the main administration building.

General Grey was sitting at his desk in his office smoking on a cigar while looking at some
military files. He was heavy set, but was built. He had short, white hair that was of course
military cut. He took his job very seriously, giving no slack to anyone whatsoever. As he
concentrated on reading his files he heard on a knock on his office doors.
“Come in,” the General said. The door opened and Shawn stepped in.

She opened her wallet and showed him her ID. “General, I’m Shawn McCormick, I am with the Foundation.”

General Grey eyed her ID and looked at the picture under it. The picture was of Michael
Knight. He pressed a small button under his desk. Within seconds, military police officers
burst into his office and rushed Shawn to the floor.

“What the hell?!” yelled Shawn.

“Arrest her, she’s connected with the theft!” yelled the General.

“What?! What do you mean?!”

“That picture in your wallet matches the exact description of the man who took the tank.
He shaved his goatee and mustache, but that’s him.”

“Look, Russell Maddock from the Foundation sent me. Didn't he explain this to you over
the phone?” Shawn asked looking innocent. She wanted to make sure the General was on her side.

“Yes he did.” The general sighed and sat down on his chair.

“Look General, I...” Shawn paused when something popped into her head. She stood
frozen for a second then looked at the General. “General may I make a quick phone call?”

Knight Foundation HQ
Location: Seattle, Washington

Russell Maddock sat at his desk in his office looking over some papers while Kevin
Williams was sitting down on the computer going over some local police files from a while
back. Suddenly the phone rang on Maddock's desk. “Hello?” he said into phone.

“Russ, it's Shawn.” she said.

“Shawn, how are things going so far? And why are you calling on a phone instead of from KITT?”

“I'm in General Grey's office. I got arrested earlier today?”

“What!? Why?”

“I have been accused of connections to the person who stole the tank.”

“Now how is that possible!?”

“I showed General Grey my ID. He saw the picture of Michael, and he claims that it’s the
same person, but without a mustache or gotee.”

“But Michael never had a mustache or gotee.”

“I know.”

“You’re not thinking about Garth Knight?” He remembered the stories Devon
told him when Garth fell over that cliff with Goliath into the ocean while chasing after
Michael and KITT awhile back. He took a deep a breath and said, “Shawn, let me
speak to General Grey.”

Shawn handed the phone to General Grey. “This is General Grey. Mr. Maddock, I'm
sorry I arrested Shawn, but the picture in her wallet fit the description of the individual

who stole our top secret tank last night.”

“Then it is true. Garth Knight is back.” But he had to be sure.

“Who?”

“General, you might find this hard to believe, but there is a man alive who looks exactly
like the man in the picture. We've encountered him before in the past. We thought for
certain he was dead, but unfortunately he's very much alive. General, please release
Shawn. I assure you she is going to do everything in her power to return your tank and
take care of Garth Knight as well.”
Maddock paused for a second wishing he could tell
the General who Garth Knight was, but there was no time for that right now.
“General, may I please speak to Shawn again?”

Shawn came back on the phone. “Russ, I promise you I'll do everything I can to find out what's going on here.”

"I know you will Shawn. Keep me posted.” Russ hung up the phone and looked up at
Kevin who was staring wide eyed at him. “Go find out everything you can on the place
where Garth and Goliath fell over that cliff. We must find out what's going on. If we
don't, we might not be able to stop Garth this time.”

Desert Base
1645 Hrs

Goliath was almost complete. The final coating for the Molecular Bonded Shell was just
about finished when a door from some distance away was heard closing and Garth Knight
stepped out from the shadows of the warehouse. He walked over to his head technician
and asked, “Well?”

“We're finished with the main body and other items.” The technician said.

“Excellent. I have a little errand to run. I will be back soon. I want this place kept well secured.”

“It's already been done sir.”

With that Garth and two military Africans climbed onto the huge tank and into the hole at
the top. Just then the huge beast came alive. It's engine roared like the sound of a hungry
lion. Garth loved that sound. It gave him a sense of hunger himself. He then drove towards a resting C-17 sitting on a runway.

Camp Pendleton
1700 Hrs

General Grey sat at his desk looking outside his window that towered above the base.
Shawn sat across from him in deep thought thinking about Garth Knight. How could he
be alive? How did he survive that fall into the ocean? It all sounds nearly impossible. No
one could survive a fall that far. Unless you're a damn good stunt man. Shawn stopped
thinking about it long enough to hear General Grey speak. “Shawn, I uh..., I'm sorry. I'm
just very confused and frustrated right now. I just want my tank back. That tank is
equipped with not only regular missiles but nuclear missiles as well.”

“General, it's okay. I understand. I'm going to do everything in my power to put and end
to this. But I can't very much do anything if I'm under arrest.”

“Shawn, as of now I am releasing you. Good luck, and be careful.”

“Thanks.” Shawn left the General's office. She went down stairs to the exit and headed to
where KITT was parked. She got in and closed the door and started the engine.

“Shawn, thank goodness you're back. I am so glad the general released you.” KITT said.

“Me too. Right now, let's get out of here.” KITT exited the base and went onto the road
that intersected the base. “KITT, I want you to scan the area for any signs of where the
tank might have disappeared to.”

“Right away Shawn.” There was a short pause then KITT spoke up again. “About a mile
up the road I'm getting a strange reading of something.”

“What?”

“It appears to be a large hole that was dug up in the ground. There are also tank tracks
that lead from the base to the hole.”

“All right, plot the fastest route.” Shawn stepped on the accelerator and the speedometer
climbed to 160 mph. Within minutes she and KITT arrived at their destination. When
Shawn stepped out of the car she looked around. “KITT, give me a little help here, will ya?”

“About ten paces to your left, you should see a large rectangular hole in the ground.”

Shawn turned and saw the large hole. The hole itself was covered with dirt and grass but
the outlining of it was fairly visible to see that it was some kind of door or something. She
could also see tank tracks in the ground that pointed in the direction of the base. “KITT,
can you give me a reading on this?”

“It appears to be a large door approximately 12 feet in diameter and 10 feet in width. And
it can open automatically like a garage door.” Suddenly, part of the ground started to
move and what was originally the outlining of a secret door was now an underground
tunnel lined with dirt and grass. “Shawn, this tunnel runs approximately 200 miles underground and leads to...”

“Leads to where?”

“Shawn, this tunnel leads back to the desert near Red Bluff.”

“Oh my God. But how? It would take years to dig this tunnel.”

“Affirmative. Should I contact Mr. Maddock?”

“We’ll do it on the way,” Shawn said as she headed back to the car.

“On the way to where?”

Shawn opened the door and got in. “Red Bluff. KITT, how long will it take us to get
there?” she said as she started the engine.

“Approximately six and one half hours. We should get there by eleven tonight,” KITT said
as Shawn drove the car down the main highway back to Las Vegas once again.

Knight Foundation HQ
2130 Hrs

It was quiet at Foundation headquarters at 9:30 at night. Security were running their post
as usual. Receptionists were taking phone calls and busy with whatever they do everyday.
Kevin and Maddock were upstairs in Maddock's office. They were waiting for the police
report about the wreckage of Goliath.

“Shawn hasn't called yet. This isn't like her.” Kevin said to Maddock.

“I wouldn't worry too much, Kevin. I'm sure she's fine.” Maddock said.

Just then a fax came in. Kevin picked it up. “Well, according to the police,” he said, “the
wreckage of Goliath is still on the beach and so is Adrienne St. Claire. Of course she's
dead, but there is no sign of Garth's body anywhere.”

“Then it must be true. Garth Knight is still alive. It has to be a miracle.” Maddock said.

“That’s one hell of a miracle.” Kevin replied.

Suddenly, a loud explosion from outside sent the two of them tumbling to the ground in
seconds. The explosion sounded like it came from the laboratory. Maddock sprang to his
feet and ran to the window and look outside. The security officers in uniform were firing
at a huge tank but their bullets were just bouncing off the tank like ping pongs not making
a dent on it. He walked over to Kevin. “Come on. We've got to find a way out of here.”
Just then the office doors opened and in stepped two Africans dressed in military uniforms
with their M-16's pointed at Maddock and Kevin. Behind them a man walked in and smiled.

“I don't believe it! How!?” Maddock asked Garth in a hateful tone.

Garth laughed. “Why should that bother you Mr. Maddock? As your predecessor should
have told you, I always come back no matter what the odds are. Dead or alive.”

“What are you planning to do with us?” Kevin asked.

“You, for right now are the bait for my trap,” Garth said.

“What trap?” Maddock asked.

“To bring the Foundation to its knees!” Garth explained.

“How can you be so sure of that? Every time you've tried to destroy the first team, you've
failed, regardless of the circumstances. What makes you think this time you'll succeed?” Maddock asked.

“I will show you once we reach our destination,” Garth said. “Get up. You two are
coming with me.” A guard picked up Kevin while Garth took Maddock by the arm as
they walked out the room, then downstairs to where the tank stood outside the building.
As they walked towards the huge tank, Garth spoke up. “Meet Goliath III. Covered with
the same Molecular Bonded Shell used to protect the first two. Goliath is invulnerable.”

“What the hell is this, boss?” Kevin asked.

Garth smiled. They climbed into the tank without saying another word. When everyone
was in it wasn't cramped like Kevin had thought. When Garth started the engine he
fired one last round causing another huge explosion on the side of the building. He then
turned the tank around and drove away.

Shawn pressed the accelerator to the floor. She wiped the sweat off of her forehead. She
knew it would be another hour until her and KITT would reach Garth’s Base.

“Shawn, we have a problem.” KITT said.

“KITT what is it?” Shawn asked, alarmed.

“I can't reach anybody at the Foundation.” KITT said.

“That’s odd.” Shawn thought for awhile. She slammed on the brakes. “KITT, give me a
remote link to security cameras.”

“Right away, Shawn.”

A picture popped up on KITT’s windshield. Shawn stared at it. The camera panned
around and Shawn saw the garage was in ruins as well as part of the offices. Something
big must have been here for it to make this big of a disaster.

“KITT...” Shawn said stunned. She had never seen anything like this before. “Talk to me.”

“My scanner is picking up tank tracks on the ground.”

“Garth. I should've known.” Shawn said still looking at the damaged building. “Any survivors inside?”

“There are a couple still inside. They don't appear to be badly injured though. Just a
couple of bruises here and there.”

“Call the paramedics and have them get here as soon as possible.”

“Already done, Shawn.”

“What about Kevin and Russell?”

“My scanners aren't picking them up anywhere inside.”

“Which means Garth must have taken them with him.”

“Shawn, my scanner is picking up something extraordinary from the remains of the tank
tracks. Are you ready for this?”

“Yeah.”

“I've analyzed the substance from the remains of what the tank chains left behind.”

“And!?”

“And a fraction the substance left behind that is from the tank chains is covered with...”

“With what KITT!?”

“My Molecular Bonded Shell. Which means if the tank wheels and chain are covered with
my MBS, then the entire tank is covered with it as well.”

Shawn froze in place. She started getting dizzy and felt like she was going to pass out. An
entire tank covered with KITT's Molecular Bonded Shell? That of course is ten times
stronger than bullet proof. Shawn didn't even want to think about it right now. Her
primary objective was to save Maddock and Kevin. She started the
engine. “Are you ready to face Garth again?” She asked KITT.

“I'll let you know when we get there. The question is, are you?”

“KITT, I’ve been shot in the head and survived with the Foundation’s help. I’ve brought
down crime rings with the Foundation’s help. I can face Garth and Goliath- with YOUR help.”

Desert Base
2319 Hrs

Maddock opened his eyes slowly. He was lying on his side in a small, dark room. His head
hurt from the loudness of the C-17 he had to ride in for two hours. The room was about
20 feet both in height and width and consisted of two beds. The ceiling stretched to about
18 feet it seemed. The walls were made of plain white stone. The door that was made of
double steel had a little rectangular opening at the top with metal bars that pointed up and
down. It was just low enough to where a person could see into or out of the room. He
sat up on the bed and looked around. Kevin was lying in the other bed. Suddenly, the
lights came on and familiar figure walked into the room. It was Garth.
Kevin awoke and sat up.

“So, now that you have us, what are you planning to do to us? Kill us like last time when
it was just April Curtis and Devon?” Maddock asked.

“No, not just yet. We have to wait until Ms. McCormick arrives. Then I will kill you,” Garth then smiled.

“Why us?” Kevin asked. “We’re the new team. Why do you want us?”

“If Michael Knight knows that you and Ms. McCormick are in danger, then he will come.
But don't worry. It won't be too soon. If I'm correct, Shawn McCormick should be here
within under two hours,” Garth said as he left the room and closed the door.

Shawn and KITT were 15 minutes away from Garth’s Base. They were in PURSUIT
MODE going 210 mph. They were in the middle of the Nevada dessert traveling on a
paved concrete road. It had been quiet for quite sometime and neither Shawn or KITT spoke to one another.

Finally, KITT spoke up. “Shawn, are you sure that Garth's hideout is the same place where they built Goliath?”

“I'm pretty sure KITT. Besides, you said it yourself. The tunnel ends at Garth’s Base. So,
where else could Garth be hiding?” Shawn asked.

“I see your point.” There was a pause before KITT spoke again. “Shawn, we’re
approaching the old warehouse where Goliath was kept. About a mile up this road take a
left onto a dirt road then keep going straight until you see a huge warehouse on your right.
It will be in the distance once you see it. A long stretch of nothing but sand will be
between us and the warehouse.”

Shawn did as KITT instructed. When they reached the long stretch of desert they heard a
huge explosion a couple of feet to the right of them. Sand went flying into the air. “What
the hell was that!?” Shawn asked in panic as she made a hard turn to the left.

“It's that tank,” KITT replied.

“All right, give me a damage report.” Shawn demanded.

“Rear stabilizers are out! The right door has a major dent in it! A couple of circuit boards
in my CPU have blown! My gas tank is leaking badly! Shawn, were slowing down!” As
the car slowed, Shawn could see a huge tank in the distance.

“KITT give me a close up on the tank real fast,” Shawn demanded as she pushed some
buttons on a console to the right above her head. Suddenly, the tank came into view on
KITT's center video screen and the words GOLIATH were engraved in big letters on the side of the tank.

“Shawn, those missiles are coated with the MBS. Garth is about to fire again. We can’t sustain another hit.”

The canopy blew off over Shawn’s head. “Wait KITT! No!!” Suddenly as Goliath fired
his second round at KITT, Shawn was ejected from her seat and flung into the air. Then
KITT exploded. Millions of pieces went flying in all direction as the fire engulfed KITT's body.

“KITT!!!!!!” Shawn yelled at the top of her lungs. She yelled KITT's name for as long as
she could. When she hit the ground, she rolled over a couple of times until she came to a
stand still. Her body laid there, barely moving. She looked back at the explosion that
took place and started to cry. KITT was gone. There was no way KITT could have
survived that. “KITT?” Shawn yelled one last time. She couldn't believe this was
happening. It had to be a dream. But it wasn't. She heard something in the distance.

Finally, the tank came to a stop where Shawn stood alone without KITT there to protect
her. Suddenly the top of the tank opened up and two African guards climbed down from
the tank and walked over to Shawn and grabbed her by each arm. Then Garth climbed
down the side of Goliath and walked over to Shawn with a big grin on his face.
“Well, well, well. Shawn McCormick. Michael Knight’s replacement, no doubt.” Garth said.

“Pleasure to meet the bastard I heard so much about.” she said. An African guard kicked
her in the back of her leg and she stumbled down to the ground. The guard raised his gun
and was about to hit her.

“STOP!” Garth yelled. He helped Shawn up. “Ms. McCormick, I may be a dishonest
and, well, hated man, but I know how to treat a lady.” He raised his handgun and shot the
African guard in the head. “How do you like my new toy?” Garth motioned at the tank.

“Your new toy?” Shawn asked sarcastically.

“I call him Goliath- Mark Three, of course.”

“Christ, Garth, can’t you figure out an original name?”

“By the way. How did it feel to be arrested back at Camp Pendelton?”

“How did you know that?”

“I have spies here and there.”

“I know the stories that Michael and KITT and Devon told me. As always Garth, you're
crazy. You won't succeed this time.”

“Devon? Oh yes, sorry to hear about his sudden death.”

“I didn’t know you cared.”

“Oh I don’t.” he looked at the ground. “It’s sad I had him killed.”

“What?!” Shawn asked.

“Yes, you heard me right. Do you think Thomas Watts could have pulled that off on his
own. Hell no, he had two helpers, rather than only Mayor Abbey, who you thought.”

“You?” Shawn asked.

“..and Mayor Abbey. Harold was responsible for the guns. I was responsible for keeping
the Foundation out of the way. Including you being shot.”

“I was shot before I came to the Knight Foundation.”

“The Foundation had it’s eye on you for awhile. They knew Knight wasn’t going to stay,
they needed a new operative. You getting KITT’s memory chip was just luck, and
accelerated your acceptance.”

“You placed the chip there?”

“Oh, no. That was pure luck.”

“You’re a maniac. And you will lose.” Shawn said, coldly.

“Look around, Ms. McCormick! The KITT and the Knight Industries Four Thousand are
gone. Finished. It's over. I've won.”

“You only think you've won.”

“We'll see.”

“Just what are you planning to do?”

Garth smiled. “Once I steal enough military tanks, planes and weapons, I will cover them
all with same MBS used on Goliath. Then I will travel to Washington and take the
President as my hostage.”

“Why?”

“I want all African prisoners released from their designated prisons. They released me so I
am going to return the favor. And the president is the only one who can do that.”

“Do you realize how many countries world wide will want you dead?”

“It doesn't matter. They can't destroy me with what I will have.”

“You may have the upper hand right now, but in the end you will lose.”

Garth gave a disgusted look at her for a short minute. In the distance Shawn could see a
army jeep coming towards them. “Guards,” Garth demanded. When the jeep stopped, the
guards walked Shawn to the jeep and drove off. Garth got back in the tank and started
the engine and headed back towards the warehouse.

May 6, 2000
0122 Hrs

As the cell door opened, the guards pushed Shawn into the room. Once she was in, the
doors closed behind and the room went silent. It was same exact cell that Maddock and
Kevin were in, because she noticed as she was escorted her cell from the hallway that all
the cells were similar. This was not good. KITT was destroyed. Maddock and Kevin are
being held somewhere else in this warehouse and she was trapped as well. She had to find
a way to get out of here.

0330 Hrs

It had been several hours since Shawn was tossed into her cell. She was sitting on the
single bed that was in the room. She was getting tired but she had to try to stay awake as
best as she could. She didn't want to die in here at all. Suddenly, she heard footsteps in
the hallway. They sounded like they were getting closer to the door. Shawn quietly ran to
one side of the door where she would not be seen. As soon as the door opened she
grabbed the guard from behind wrapping one arm around the guards neck and the other
around his mouth. Snap! Shawn twisted the guards neck causing his spine to break. The
guard fell motionless to the ground. She searched the guard and found a knife and a
grenade in his pockets. She picked up the mini AK-47 the guard was carrying and peeked
into the hallway. All was clear so far. Shawn checked every cell door until she found one
on the opposite wall from hers, several doors down on the right. She peeked in and saw
what looked like two figures inside.

“Russ, Kevin?” She whispered.

“Shawn?! Are you all right?” Maddock asked, after he walked up to the door.

“I'm fine. Come on, we're getting out of here.”

“Forget about us. There's no time. You have to get back to General Grey and inform him on what's going on.

“Russ, there's a lot more to this than you know.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I'll explain it all as soon as we're out of here.” Shawn said as she unlocked the cell door.

Kevin heard footsteps from some distance away. “Shawn, behind you!” he yelled softly.
As Shawn turned around she held the blade of the knife that he found on the guard in her
right hand. Then without pausing the guard appeared and Shawn threw the knife at the
guard’s chest. The guard screamed and went down as several shots from his M-16 went
off. Shawn finally opened the cell door as Kevin and Maddock ran out. They ran to end
of the hallway and took an immediate left down another short hallway. Shawn could hear
guards coming from behind them.

Ahead of was a door that lead to the outside at the back of the warehouse. As the guards
approached, Shawn fired several rounds from the AK-47 at the guards. The guards fell to
the ground like targets. Kevin and Maddock got outside just in time to avoid the bullets.
Shawn followed them outside to where an army jeep with an M-60 mounted on it was
resting comfortably on the side of the building. The three of them hopped in the jeep.

“Shawn, hurry up and start the engine! There are more guards coming this way!” Maddock yelled.

Kevin turned around. “Oh shit!” Without hesitation, he stood up and started firing the
M-60 at the guards. The guards dropped to the ground like dummies.

Shawn quickly turned the key as the engine roared to life. She put the jeep into drive and
stepped on the accelerator and headed towards the highway.

Several guards followed Garth as he approached the dead bodies in the hallway where
Shawn and her friends had escaped. He looked around in disgust. He walked over to the
cell where Shawn had been and looked in. He then slammed the cell door shut.
“Damn!!!” Garth yelled at the top of his lungs. He turned and looked at his guards. “I
thought this place was tightly secured?”

“It was sir.”

“Well, obviously not tight enough! Get the troops armed and ready. We're heading to Washington.”

0612 Hrs

Shawn, Kevin and Maddock were still on the road but finally out of harms way. They
would be on the road for a long time. Everyone was tired and hurting. Especially, Shawn,
since KITT was gone. It was as good a time as any to tell them. But surprisingly, Kevin
brought it up first. He was sitting in the front seat.

“Where's KITT?” Kevin asked.

There was a long pause. Shawn swallowed in her throat.

“Oh no.” Kevin said realizing what happened.

“Goliath?” Maddock asked.

Shawn nodded.

“How did you make it?” Maddock asked.

“KITT ejected me just before he blew up.”

“How bad is it?” Kevin asked.

“Let's just say there's nothing left.”

Kevin hit the side of the door of the jeep. “That son of bitch!”

“Is he a total write off?” Shawn asked.

“I need my lab equipment to determine that,” Kevin said.

“Good. Once we reach Seattle, Kevin, I want you and your techies to get together and try
to rebuild KITT.” Maddock said.

“There's a lot more this than you know. Garth is planning to fly Washington DC, and take
the president captive.” Shawn said.

“Why!?” Kevin asked.

“He wants the President to release the African prisoners from wherever they are being
held captive. He's like doing a favor for them since they released him or something like that.”

Maddock took a deep breath. “Let's get to the Foundation as quickly as possible. We must
stop Garth before it's too late.”

Dulles International Airport
1145 Hrs

As the jet plane touched down at Dulles International Airport, two men wearing blazers
and a tie stood next to the gates walking with the President of the United States. Both
men were black and were working undercover for Garth Knight. He had assigned them to
be the Presidents body guards for the day. When the plane came to halt on the runway,
the side door opened with steps leading down to the ground. Garth Knight stepped out of
the plane, walked down the stairs and over to where to the two men and the President were standing.

“Good morning Mr. President,” Garth Knight said with a smile.

“What's the meaning of this?” The President asked.

“You're going to run a little errand with me. We are going to Africa,” Garth said.

“Why? For what purpose?”

“We'll discuss that on the way.”

“My government will find out that I'm missing,” the President said as they approached the steps that up to the plane.

“That's already been taken care of.” Garth said. Just then, a man who looked exactly like
the President stepped out from the plane and came down the stairs to face the real
President. Both men were staring at each other.

“Mr. President? Meet The President of the United States,” Garth said. He then started
laughing and then stopped to motion the guards to put the real President on board the
plane. When that was done Garth looked at the fake President and smiled. He then
walked back up the flight of stairs and into plane. By the time the fake President walked
back to his Limo, the plane had already taken off.

Knight Foundation HQ
1029 Hrs
Location: Seattle Washington

It had been one week since Shawn, Kevin, and Maddock returned from Nevada.
Maddock was sitting in his office, sipping a cup of coffee and watching the construction
workers from his massive window, overlooking the headquarters.

Shawn walked in. “Russ, we need to talk.” she said.

“Sure, Shawn. Have a seat.”

“Why didn’t you tell me I was a prime candidate for the new pilot program?”

“What?” asked Maddock, surprised.

“It seems that Garth has a few spies here and there. The Knight Foundation was looking
at me for some time. Even before Michael returned to help you get back on your feet.”

Maddock got up. “Well, with Michael gone, we needed a new driver. We began to look
at some people. We looked first in the Metropolitan PD. Your name came up.”
Shawn was about to speak- Maddock cut her off.

“Yes, you were a rookie, and that almost made me look for someone else, but Devon saw
something in you that I couldn’t see. You know what that was? Promise. Dedication to
your duties. You may have been a rookie, and you were trying to score brownie points,
but you still had that dedication. Devon had your name bumped up to the prime candidate list.”

“Why the phony interview?” Shawn asked.

“Well, at that time, we found someone else for the new pilot program. But, when Michael
found out that chip in your head was KITT’s, we knew you were the one.”

“Because KITT’s chip was in my head.”

“Correct.” Maddock said.

“Why the elaborate scheme. Why wasn’t I told that I was a candidate?”

“We felt that it wasn’t necessary.”

“Did Michael know?”

“No he didn’t. This was only between Devon and me.”

Shawn was silent. Maddock walked over.

“I hope this doesn’t change anything, Shawn. You were a good cop. You are a good
agent for the Foundation. We’re lucky to have you.”

“Thank you.”

“Any time.”

Kevin walked in the room. “You won’t believe this!”

“What?” Shawn asked.

“Before KITT was blown up, it seems that he uploaded everything to Foundation computers!”

“Does that mean...” Maddock asked.
“Yes, everything I need to bring back KITT is here in the database. But, almost half of
my techie crew was killed in the rampage. I need some help.”

“I’ll find all the tech’s in Seattle to help you-” Maddock began.

“No, sir. They won’t help. I need someone familiar with KITT’s systems and that.”

“Is there anyone around who knows?” Shawn asked.

“Yea. From 1982-1990, when it was Devon and Michael, there was always a technician
who worked on KITT. I don’t know where they are today.”

“Who are they?” Shawn asked.

“Bonnie Barstow and April Curtis. Let me do a search for both of them.” Maddock
walked over to his computer and typed in some things. “April Curtis was killed in a car
accident in 1995. Bonnie Barstow- is currently living in Portland, Oregon. Kevin, get on
a plane to Portland and get Bonnie. Tell her we need her help with KITT.”

“You got it chief!” Kevin ran out of the office.

“Russ, it might help if we get someone who knows Garth very well. That person may be
able to help us.” Shawn said.

“You’re not thinking about....”

“Yes I am.”

Somewhere in the country....
1232 Hrs

Shawn pulled her car up to the country cabin. She got out and looked around. She
walked around the cabin and saw a man sitting on a rock at the river with a fishing pole in
hand. “Good luck on catching anything, you never did before.” she said.

The man turned around and smiled. “Shawn?”

“Hi, Michael.”

Michael Knight dropped the fishing pole and ran up the hill to where Shawn was standing.
He hugged her and picked her up. “Hey stranger, how are you?”

“I’m good. But, we need your help.”

Michael’s smile faded. “What’s going on?”

Knight Foundation
1452 Hrs

Maddock looked at Michael. “I know how you feel Michael. I was just wondering the
same thing.” he told him.

“I mean think about it. Goliath goes over the cliff. It's about a hundred foot drop.
There's no way in hell anybody can survive a fall like that.” Michael said.

“Good point, Michael. But we must face the facts. Garth did survive. How? He might of
jumped out just before Goliath hit the water.” Maddock said.

“I must be living in the Twilight Zone or something. I just can't believe he survived that. I
It's like he never dies. Shawn, I saw it happen.” Michael said. Is there a plan on how to
destroy Goliath, this time?” Michael asked.

“No.” Maddock said. “Until we rebuild KITT, Garth is on the loose.”

Kevin walked in the room. “Hey guys, I just brought us some heavy artillery!” He stepped
aside and let Bonnie Barstow walk into the room.

“Bonnie!” Michael lept out of the chair and hugged her. “Good to see you again!”

“Good to see you too, Michael.” Bonnie said. “You never kept in touch.”

“I’m sorry. So sorry. I wish I had, but-” he turned around, “Oh. Bonnie Barstow- meet
Knight Foundation president Russell Maddock.”

Bonnie extended her hand. Maddock shook it. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Maddock. We
better get right to work, Kevin, lead the way.”

“Bonnie, how long will it be until you have KITT back up?” Maddock asked.

“Well, maybe a month. I need a new body and equipment to install into KITT.”

“We have backup bodies for KITT. Complete with equipment needed for performance.” Maddock said.

“Really? Well then all I need is to download all the stuff into the AI unit on the car, and
the other things. I call it a two weeks.” Bonnie said.

“Good, very good.” Maddock said.

“Well we better get to work.” Kevin said. “This way.” he said.

May 22, 2000
1922 Hrs

Bonnie walked in to Maddock’s office. He, Michael and Shawn were talking.

“Hey Bonnie have a seat.” Maddock said. “What’s new?”

“We’re almost done. The download to KITT’s CPU is almost complete.”

“Why did it take so long?” Shawn asked.

“We’re filtering the data through four computers for defects and viruses.”

“Okay, I see,” Maddock said, “is there any progress in a weapon against Goliath?”

“Actually, yes. Which is why I came here. Kevin and I have developed a water based
neutralizer for Goliath’s MBS. You must somehow spray the substance on Goliath.” she said.

“Over my dead body!” Michael and Shawn both said in unison. They looked at each other.

“I beg your pardon?” Maddock asked.

“I can't risk getting that stuff on KITT!” Michael said.

“There's no other way Michael. You must spray it on Goliath somehow.” Bonnie said. “I
gotta get back to the garage.” she walked out of Maddock’s office.

“Looks like I'm going to have to go head to head with him again.” Michael said.

“What makes you think you’re driving?” Shawn asked.

“Shawn, I know Garth’s moves exactly. I know how he will maneuver that tank.”

A few minutes later, the phone rang and Maddock picked it up. “Hello?” There was a
short pause. “Thank you, we'll be down in a second.” He hung up the phone. “That was Bonnie. KITT's ready.”

“Great!” Michael said.

When they entered the garage, Bonnie was sitting inside KITT making some final a
adjustments to him. Michael and Shawn and Maddock walked over. Michael was the
first to speak. “Well?”

“KITT's all ready to go,” Bonnie said as she got out of the car and closed the door.

The engine roared to life and KITT’s red scanner began to chase back and forth in the
front. “Michael is that you?!” KITT asked.

“Yes, KITT. It’s me. I’m here to help Shawn fight Goliath.”

“Welcome back.”

“Same to you, KITT.” Shawn said. “I want to thank you for saving my life.”

“No problem, Shawn. We’re partners.”

“Oh here. You asked for this?” Kevin said as he handed Michael a green pineapple grenade.

“Thanks Kevin,” Michael said as took it from him. Just then some technicians came in
rolling a backpack-type tank. “What's this?” Michael asked.

“That's the water based neutralizer we were talking about earlier. You must somehow get
close enough to Goliath and spray it on him,” Bonnie said.

“I can't tell you how easy that going to be,” Michael said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. He
walked over to KITT and began to get in the driver’s side, but stopped. He stood up and
looked at Shawn. He stepped aside.

Shawn smiled and got in.

Michael took the tank and grenade and got into passengers side seat and then closed the door.

“Good luck you two,” Kevin said.

“Thanks Kevin,” Then Shawn took off out of the garage while the three of them waved goodbye.

“Welcome back.” Shawn said to KITT.

“Thank you Shawn. And please don't ask how I feel. I'd rather concentrate on the mission
at hand if you don't mind,” KITT said.

“You got it,” Shawn said with a smile as they drove on the road towards the airplane.

Desert Base
2231 Hrs

One of Garth's African troops watched on the screen as a red sports car headed towards
the warehouse. He quickly picked up the phone and waited. “Sir? Shawn McCormick is
back!” The guard told Garth who was on the other line. Suddenly, Garth appeared from a
small room inside the warehouse and walked over to where the guard was standing and
looked at the screen in disgust.

“Unbelievable!” Garth said. He turned around to find Tsombe Kuna standing in his way.

“So I see the Knight Industries Four Thousand is back. It must be a miracle,” Tsombe said.

“If it's anyone's miracle it's theirs. But his miracle won't last long. I can assure you of
that,” Garth said in disgust. He walked past Tsombe Kuna and climbed into Goliath,
started the engine and drove off to where KITT, Michael and Shawn were.

The trio were just minutes away from the warehouse when KITT spoke up. “Shawn, my
scanners are picking up Goliath just over that ridge to our right,” KITT said.

“Good,” Shawn said as she made a hard turn to the right that lead them back to same
place where they met Goliath the first time.

“Easy for you to say,” KITT said. Sure enough, several minutes later they were back in
the same general area they were the first time they met Goliath. That's when they saw a
huge tank in the distance heading in their direction. “Shawn look out!” KITT said. Shawn
made a hard turn to left avoiding an explosion that was fired by Goliath.

“Give me all you've got, KITT.” Shawn said as she floored the accelerator Goliath fired
again. Shawn made a hard turn to the right this time avoiding another explosion. Finally,
at 210 mph, they reached Goliath and were now traveling along side the huge tank.
Shawn slowed back down to only 40 mph trying to stay the same speed as the tank.

“All right, open the canopy,” Michael said as he reached for the tank and the grenade.

“Michael, what are you doing?” Shawn asked as the canopy opened.

“Stay close, I may need you,” Michael said as he climbed onto the top of the car and then
jumped onto the moving tank. Michael then started spraying the neutralizer all over
Goliath’s body. Suddenly, the hatch to opened and Garth started climbing out. Just as he
did, Michael sprayed the neutralizer into Garth's face causing Garth to grab it. Michael
saw smoke emerge from between the cracks of Garth’s hands and smelt the smell of
burning flesh. Garth fell back into Goliath. Michael quickly took out grenade, pulled the
pin and threw down the open hole into the tank. He then threw the neutralizer tank over
the side. The tank veered quickly to the right, Michael lost his balance and grabbed the
nozzle and held on.

Shawn steered KITT to match the course of the tank. Michael jumped onto KITT’s hood,
and scrambled into the seat. Shawn spun around and sped away as fast as she could.
Suddenly, from behind them a huge explosion came from Goliath. Shawn coasted KITT
to a stop and they looked at the wreckage of Goliath.

“If the neutralizer in the face didn’t get him, that explosion did,” KITT said. “I am
scanning for life signs. There aren’t any.”

“Thank God!” Shawn said. They got back inside KITT. “Get Maddock, KITT.”

Suddenly, Maddock’s face appeared on KITT's center monitor. “Well?” Maddock asked.

“It’s over, Russ. Garth’s dead.”

“Thank God! Well, it looks like this mission is over except rescuing the President,” Maddock said.

“Rescuing the President?” Michael asked in confusion.

“Yes. The government found out a few hours ago that the President who was holding
office was acting very strangely. When they went to question him about his background
some of the answers he came up with were different from what they expected. So he
confessed by telling them his real name and they arrested him,” Maddock said.

“Which means the real President is at the warehouse. Garth was telling me the truth.” Shawn said.

“The military is sending a recon team to get him.” Maddock said. “See you back at the Foundation.”

Four hours later, Garth's troops surrendered to the military and the real President returned to Washington.

Knight Foundation HQ

Shawn, Kevin, Michael, Maddock, and KITT were at the rear jetstrip on the Foundation
property. Bonnie was getting ready to leave.

“Bonnie, I want to thank you very much for all your help,” Maddock said, “without you,
KITT would never be back.”

“I’m always glad to help. And I am always glad to see KITT.”

“Likewise, Bonnie. Thanks for your help as well.” KITT said.

Shawn shook Bonnie’s hand. “Thanks Bonnie. I wish I had more time to get to know you more.”

“Same here, Shawn.” Bonnie motioned to KITT. “You take good care of him, okay?”

“That’s a promise.”

Bonnie walked over to Kevin. “Good luck, kid. You’re doing a hell of a job with KITT.
Keep up the good work.”

“Thank you.”

Bonnie walked over to Michael. She kissed him. “You keep in touch okay?”

“You got it. I promise.” The two embraced and Bonnie climbed into the Leer Jet. She
waved goodbye and got in. The door closed behind her. The jet began to taxi towards the runway.

Everyone walked towards Michael’s car, which was parked near the building.

Michael turned around. “It was real good to be back. I’m always glad to help.”

“Michael, thank you for everything. You helped us a great deal by showing us more about
Garth.” Maddock said.

“No problem.” he looked at KITT. “Well, pal. It’s goodbye again.”

“Not goodbye, Michael,” KITT said, “only so-long until next time.”

Michael smiled. “Okay. Goodbye all. You know where to find me when you need me.”
Michael got in his Chevy, started the engine, and drove off.

The remains of Goliath lay in the desert. Pieces of what used to be a large tank are now
scattered all over the place.

From the horizon came a convoy of vehicles: a sedan, two vans, and a large moving-van.
They all had a black paint job and were un-marked. The convoy pulled up to the remains
of Goliath. Men in jumpsuits scrambled out of the vans and searched the wreckage. A
man in a suit exited the sedan. He looked over at the men searching the tank. A man
shook his head towards the man in the suit. He took out a cell-phone and dialed a
number. “Sir, this is Johnson. We’ve searched the wreckage, Garth Knight is dead.”

Someone on the other end spoke up. The person sounded in poor health. “No! I
can’t beleive this. Give a man the upper hand and he blows it. Gather up the pieces of
the tank, and bring them back to Headquarters. I have another plan in mind.”
He hung up.

“Yes, sir.” Johnson said. He faced the men in the jumpsuits. “Gather up all you can and
move out. Make sure nobody knows anyone has been here.”

The men did what they were told and within minutes, the desert was cleared of all
evidence of Goliath.
